Ethel Krauze

Ethel Krauze was born in Mexico City and currently resides in the state of Morelos. She is the author of 52 published books in many literary genres and has received widespread acclaim for her professional career. Since 2000, she has been a member of the National System of Artistic Creators. She has been invited to and awarded by various universities in the United States, Canada, and France, and her work has been published in national and international media.

Her book, How to Approach Poetry, has become a contemporary classic in the national archives of the Mexican Ministry of Public Education. Ethel Krauze has been anthologized and translated into several languages. She has also built a theoretical and didactic platform for literary creation with her essays: Undressing the Muse: What’s Behind Literary Talent? and with the renowned model, Woman: Writing Changes Your Life, that she has implemented from Morelos for Mexico and the world. She is a professor at Tec de Monterrey and in the graduate program at El Colegio de Morelos.

Among her most recent works are her books: Samovar, novel (Alfaguara, Penguin Random House, 2023) and Oscura punta, poetry (UANL, 2023).
